What stores sell gluten-free breads and cereals?

Posted on May 24, 2010.

I think I have celiac disease and I really do want to try a diet that has no gluten in it whatsoever. What stores carry gluten free breads? Or gluten-free breads that have a high fiber content? I’m also looking for gluten-free cereals. No online links please, just give me retail stores in Southern California that sell the items. Thanks!!

I know that Southern California has Whole Foods Markets. They have HUGE sections for gluten free living. If you are not sure if you have celiac, your doctor can test for it easily. Many towns have celiac support groups that can help you learn celiac friendly restaurants and foods. Rice and corn cereals are usually gluten free, Check the label.

You should be able to find the things you are looking for at any up-scale grocery store, but you’ll have to do some searching. If I’m not mistaken the gluten free breads are in the freezer section.
