household mold?
The apartment above me has a leaky pipe now i am getting water damage and i think i have some form of mold growing is there a web site with photos of all the different types of mold?? Please help. i am waiting for the landlord to get back to me.
Unless you’ve been working with fungus and molds for a long time you’ll not be able to recognize what you see compared to what you think you see on the website with much accuracy and it will only make you far more paranoid than you need to be.
That being said, can you describe or photograph what you see and update us?

just type in mold in your search engine, i had a bad mold problem for years in the apt i lived in, and its hard to kill, bleach and water and some kilz to prevent it coming back is good but its a serious health problem… i feel much better that i finally moved out!

I think mold is mold. I’d just make sure your landlord does something to stop it from growing. There’s special sprays you can buy to kill mold.
You’ll need that as well as the landlord fixing the leak.

In general most can not be identified by site. This can be a serious problem. There are some strains of mold that can have various ill affects especially for the young and the old or some one with a compromising medical condition. Take this seriously and make sure the landlord takes care of the problem.

Mold may be hidden in places such as the back side of dry wall, wallpaper, or paneling, the top side of ceiling tiles, the underside of carpets and pads, etc. Other possible locations of hidden mold include areas inside walls around pipes (with leaking or condensing pipes), the surface of walls behind furniture (where condensation forms), inside ductwork, and in roof materials above ceiling tiles (due to roof leaks or insufficient insulation).

If theres a leak, the mold is black, right. Don’t get excited, have you ever heard of anyone dieing from mold? A lot of people want to pee their pants over mold ,but its not that big a deal. I clean up mold for people . First just get some gloves and bleach and wipe down the mold you see to clean it. By the way the gloves are for the bleach not the mold. Your landlord just needs to cut the drywall by the leak and replace it and your taken care of.If you want to spend money just be scared listening to people that don’t know what their talking about. Mold clean up guys feed on fear. It makes us more money.
